The 4 letter 'F' word....FATE

For the last couple of hours, I have been reflecting on something that a friend said to me during the day- "It happened because it had to happen". Was it really my fate?? Or maybe I did not try hard enough? Well, I will never ever know. What I know right now is that some four letter 'F' word that supposedly is some unknown power that predetermines events (or so the dictionary says) has finally made me try my hand at writing. Whether it will success is yet another question. Coming back to the topic, does this power really exist or is it another human creation? Something we can put a blame on when we lose the willpower to fight against the odds maybe. I'd really like to think that my future is in my own hands. That I control what happens. I am the creator of my destiny! Sounds good, doesn't it?. The fact however remains that each time I make an attempt to shape my future,some unknown force intervenes and changes the path. So is that what we call fate? It is way past midnight and the answer still eludes me...
